Ikea would lead one to believe that almost any need can be satisfied within the walls of a big blue and yellow box. Be it a clever hide a bed sofa or ligon berry adorned meatballs, they have it. Sometimes its just fun to look elsewhere. Wetlander is the result of a perfect storm of family needs, a recent personal enrichment course in sculptural welding, holiday gifting and the friendliest of wetland plants. The structure is 1/2″ cold rolled steel and the tails and buds are worked from maple hardwood. Is it art or is it furniture? You’ll have to ask the instructor. Either way it is a relatively graceful place to hang one’s jacket.
