Chair, Step Stool & Table
Acrylic and Plywood
2014
Speaking from experience, twins require special treatment. Will and Sam, just turned three, an occasion certainly worthy of furniture, right? While they may rarely be used for their intended purpose they were fun to make. These pieces are based on Pogo by Bloom. The Pogo form is just about perfect and wasn’t altered much. But a shiny body of white acrylic rather than molded plywood might be enough to captivate the toddlers. Ken Burns at Plexible Design Inc. in Overland Park did the heavy lifting. Beyond that it was a matter of forming the seat and finding the right hardware. Don’t worry, they received toys too. Enjoy your fourth year boys!
