This custom design was crafted for some friends looking for a home design solution to shelter their growing family and careers on an infill lot in Roeland Park, Kansas. She wanted a formal living space, a formal dining space that could be enclosed for meetings with her clients, a full master bath and a laundry room near the dirty clothes. He wanted a studio over the garage for his photography passion/career. Both agreed that the appropriate form and style was a modern version of a Brookside four square, a classic example of Kansas City vernacular.
