At some point this home was a three bedroom one bathroom fifties production ranch, typical of the neighborhood. Later an owner added some crude space behind the garage. Later still an owner added vinyl siding and some ridiculous plastic shutters to the horizontal window compositions. And finally, we made an honest house of it once again. By absorbing a bedroom the under-sized kitchen and dining area was reworked into a light filled cooking and eating area, the addition was manipulated to form a generous master suite and the envelope was updated with a low maintenance skin and insulated windows appropriate to the home’s original design.
